The Qur’anic text
The Arabic text and the two English translations reproduced here are in the public domain or freely licensed for this use. They are not ours and we claim nothing over them. You may quote and share them freely.
The Arabic is reproduced from the Tanzil Uthmani text, whose terms require attribution and prohibit alteration. We attribute it on every page and have altered nothing.
The introductions
The introductory essays are original writing and belong to their author. You may quote a passage with attribution and a link. Reproducing an entire introduction elsewhere, with or without credit, is not permitted without written permission.
What this site is for
It is a reading and reference resource. It is not religious authority, it does not issue rulings, and no English rendering here should be treated as the Qur’an itself. For matters of religious practice, consult a qualified scholar.
Accuracy
Considerable care goes into reproducing the text correctly, but no warranty is given. If accuracy is critical to your purpose, verify against a printed edition. If you find an error here, please report it.
Links to other sites
Where this site links outward, it does not endorse or take responsibility for what is on the other end.
Advertising
The site may display advertising to cover its costs. Advertisements are independent of the editorial content: no advertiser decides what is written. Any transaction with an advertiser is between you and them.
Availability
The site is provided as it is. It may be changed, interrupted or withdrawn at any time.
Changes to these terms
The version published on this page is the one in force, with its date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it.
