This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It is written to be read rather than to satisfy a lawyer.

The short version
We do not ask you for anything. We do not run accounts, newsletters, or comment forms. We do not sell data, because we do not collect any that would be worth selling.
What the server records
Like almost every website, the server that hosts this site keeps standard access logs: the address your request came from, the page requested, the time, and your browser’s user-agent string. These are generated automatically by the web server, are used for security and troubleshooting, and are not linked to any identity.
What your browser stores
The surah pages remember which layers you have switched on — Arabic, transliteration, either translation — so that your choice persists as you move between surahs. This is stored in your own browser using localStorage. It never leaves your device, we cannot read it, and clearing your browser data removes it.
The site itself sets no tracking cookies.
Third parties
Two external services may be involved when you load a page:
- Google Fonts serves the Arabic typeface. Loading a font sends your IP address to Google, as any request to any server does.
- Advertising and analytics, if and when they are added, will be disclosed here specifically rather than in general terms. At the time of writing, neither is running on this site.
We do not control these services and they have their own privacy policies.
Children
This site is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone, including them.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to show you, export, or delete on request. Server logs are held by the hosting provider under its own retention policy.
Changes
If this site ever starts collecting something — an email address, an analytics identifier, an advertising cookie — this page will be updated before that happens, and the date at the top will change.
